QUAVERLY is a design company based in an Irish speaking design house in rural Co. Galway, Ireland. It was founded in 2013 by Ailish Greene, an honours textile design graduate from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology and is the chief designer at the Company. QUAVERLY is registered with the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland, and with Made in Galway
QUAVERLY is inspired by the landscape, both natural and built, and interprets this landscape in a unique way. They find designs hidden in the most microscopic elements of nature and turn these into original artwork which then becomes an abstract design for their fabrics which are digitally printed on organic cotton. This printing process is environmentally conscious and uses eco-friendly water-based inks, and no additional chemicals.
They also make limited ranges of ties in heritage fabrics, 100% Irish Linen from linen woven in Northern Ireland by Baird McNutt, and in 100% Irish Tweed from Kerry Woollen Mills, Killarney, Co. Kerry.
When you touch any QUAVERLY product you touch a piece of the soul, the surroundings and the DNA of the ancient Celtic landscape of Connemara, Ireland
